During this this crisis, one of the things we can do is walk outdoors. In fact, it’s been recommended as a healthy and safe way to break away from our isolation. But of course, through it all, social-distancing is still the responsible thing to do. And that, too, goes for Sam.
We headed out on a three-mile walk in the woods. Myself, my wife, and Sam. Bright sunny day. Many people doing the same, saying hello, smiling, attempting to rise above the dread and concern. Humanity still chugs on. Life still moves forward. It must.
This, too, shall pass. And maybe we will understand more of our vulnerability, fragility, and how precious these walks, this life, truly are.
Hope springs eternal, right? If only the humans would become more proactive rather than reactive. Stay safe and enjoy those walks.
